The collection features new colorways from the Japan Pro and Gel Vickka Pro, as well as the new silhouettes called the Vic NBD and Gel-Flexkee Slip on!
ASICS GEL-FLEXKEE SLIP ON Black/Tourmaline
The GEL-FLEXKEE Slip On shoe was developed by analyzing the movement of skateboarders at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science. Their team of engineers considered the precise foot movements of skaters when creating this shoe. As a result, they added a continuous groove that extends from the bottom of the outsole to the perimeter of the front to help increase flexibility.
The upper features a rubber guard at the toe to help improve wear resistance while improving the overall fit. Lastly, their GEL technology is strategically placed in the heel to help decrease the impact of hard landings.
ASICS VIC NBD Coffee/Habanero
The ASICS VIC NBD shoes are inspired by the sole design that was featured on the GEL-EXTREME sneaker in 1989. They're also layered with FF BLAST cushioning for better impact absorption. The upper is formed with a combination of mesh and suede materials to help provide advanced airflow and breathability!
ASICS JAPAN S PRO White/Black
The JAPAN PRO, which is based on the long-selling model "FABRE JAPAN S" that appeared in 1981 and was loved by many basketball players, has been updated to skateboard specifications!
The upper is formed with leather paneling and triple-stitching on the heel and toe area to help improve durability. It also incorporates an elastic band and thicker tongue help create better comfort and a supportive fit. Lastly, the 3M details on the heel give the silhouette a reflective finish in low-light scenarios.
ASICS GEL-VICKKA PRO Peacoat/Black
The GEL-VICKKA PRO is Inspired by the VICKKA training shoe released in the 1980s. The original sole was designed to increase stability against complex movements during training and is now updated to skateboard specifications.
The forefoot of the upper uses a one-piece construction to reduce the risk of peeling. Based on the analysis of the movement of skateboarding competitions, the insole is designed with different hardness on the inside and outside, and the punching hole is provided to promote the inner center of gravity, thereby increasing the sense of stability on the board. The heel area incorporates GEL technology for excellent cushioning comfort.
This classic design makes it easy to match not only the skateboarding scene but also various styles of everyday life!
